- Tricked into joining the war with promises of great battle. Competitive by nature, Goliaths eagerly dove headfirst into the fray. Fun Fact: One of the greatest tacticians to ever live was a Goliath.
- Even after the War, Goliaths still longed for battle and competition—the War was the greatest battle their kind had seen in centuries. To this end, a tribe of Goliaths decided to take their Holy Tournaments public (analogous to the Olympics). Once a year, the Goliaths would hold a public Tournament and invite all the peoples of Alphai to participate in various feats of strength. These Tournaments were instrumental in keeping the peace between all races after the War.
- Goliaths were not affected much by the Purge, since their people were not very interested in the Arcane, and had no use for the gods (they revered strength as a non-personal force). Tounaments fell to the wayside after the Purge. There was far too much chaos in the world for people to unite together.
